Mooring Master - Cepu

Basic Purpose of Position

• The position is responsible for the safe and efficient control and coordination of all export tanker mooring operations at the marine terminal. Including berthing, un-berthing and associated cargo transfer activities. 
• And for ensuring that all marine operations and activities within the marine terminal are coordinated and conducted in accordance with regulatory compliance and industry best practices. Also responsible for the monitoring and coordinating of all aspects of marine activity, both within the marine terminal restricted zone,

Competencies
Business / Operations

• Provide leadership and develop teamwork skills within business group.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Analytical thinker, enthusiastic, self-directed and customer focused.
• Sound understanding of business practices and controls.
• Strong background in training / mentoring.
• Will hold a valid Class 1 (Master Mariner) certificate of competency for unlimited tonnage, with a Liquid Petroleum Endorsement.
• A class 1 certificate of competency is essential.
• A high level of computer ability and skills are essential for this position.

SHE

• Demonstrated background in safety based behavior.
• Thorough understanding of Corporate Management system.
• Proven sound decision making when operational emergencies / situations arise.
• Emergency Response Responsibilities
• Background in Emergency response including oil spill response.

Qualifications
Business / Operations

• Minimum entry level - Class 2 Deck Officer (Class 1 Master marine preferred) or Class 1 / 2 Pilots license.
• Minimum will include site experience as Assistant Mooring Master and successful mooring / unmooring operations followed by field competency assessment performed by 2 qualified mooring masters.
• Note New project startup must use experienced personnel in this position.

SHE

• Actively participates in safety initiatives and programs.
• Emergency Response Responsibilities
• Emergency response training and oil spill incident response training.
